Jan Baetens

Jan Baetens teaches in the MA program in cultural studies at the University of Leuven. He regularly publishes on word and image questions in popular genres such as comics, photonovels, or novelizations. Some recent books are: The Cambridge History of the Graphic Novel (Cambridge UP 2018, coedited with Hugo Frey), The Film Photonovel. A Cultural History of Forgotten Adaptations (Texas UP, 2019) and Rebuilding Storyworlds (Rutgers UP, 2020).
